When is the Best Time to File for Divorce?
Christians who follow the Ten Commandments are not barred from filing for divorces so that they can end their ruined marriages. Divorces that are filed in compliance with the instructions of the Holy Bible are not unwarranted. The Holy Bible is the only tool a Christian should refer to when he is thinking about filing for divorce so that he can stay away from his unfaithful wife. Every Christian who is looking for the best time to end his marriage through a divorce must not underestimate the messages of the Bible. This is because the Holy Bible is not so against a warranted divorce which can end a disastrous marriage.
When adultery occurs in a marriage, it is usually the best time to institute divorce proceedings (Matthew 19:9). Our Lord Jesus Christ specifically warns us in the Book of Matthew to only think about preparing court materials for divorcing our wives when they remain unfaithful. Husbands and wives must only be willing to file for divorces when adultery becomes part of their marriages. As “sin is transgression of the law,” whoever violates Exodus 20:14 lacks understanding of 1 John 3:4. A sinful husband or wife who practices adultery cannot blame his troubles on God when a lawyer contributes to his sorrow by causing him to experience an effective divorce. The punishment adulterers must face when they commit adultery is of course divorce.
